C Tangana has been making music for more than 12 years now! He started as a rapper, releasing songs under the name of "Crema" and he was so good at it – even thought he was around 15 y.o when he started-. He actually created some anthems back then and the power of his songs were his deep lyrics -I don´t think there are any translations to these songs but "Ego", "Cada uno en su lugar", "Nada más que eso" are some examples of his early rap beginnings. Later on he changed his style a little bit, switching his name to C.Tangana and people were sooooo pissed of because he changed to a more melodic style and lyrics were not as raw, sad and dark as they used to – he started using a lot of double meanings and language codification – creating a very different style to what Spain was used to -I recommend the whole "Agorazein presenta a C.Tangana" album or songs like "She said", "If she don't"… Agorazein is his group btw, they started with lots of urban arts like rapping and graffiti but later I think it was all about music…they have great stuff both with and without C.Tangana-. Then he released "10/15" when it looked like he was already giving up on music -this work is based on some drake samplings and it had a huge impact reaching to a big audience back in that time-. Then he started to make a very different kind of music, experimenting new sounds like latin beats, leaving behind the first phase of C.Tangana – it all started with the songs with Rosalia and Mala Mujer, when he signed with Sony and tried to reach a more mainstream audience in order of being able to get enough money to live comfortable from music-. So the first C.Tangana with a melodic rap sound was replaced by the current C.Tangana, which uses a lot of trap and latin sounds. He is a very unique artist though, he always seems to have a hidden message on lots of his songs, even the ones that appear to be more mainstream oriented. And he´s always trying new sounds, so you never know what he might come with the next time -he released during quarantine "Nunca estoy" which is a very sensitive piece of music, he also released "Bien :(" which appears to have a lot of hidden messages about his real feelings because he often is playing a role as an artist to reach a big audience but it looks like sometimes fame and money don't make him happy and some songs are about him letting us know it but in a very discrete – sometimes ironically, like if he was all disguised playing a role of a person he isn´t-. Btw he´s from Madrid, he's 30 now and studied philosophy. Congrats on your Channel! I love it <3
